The
New Mexico Health Security Act has been
introduced in both the NM House and Senate. It is proposed legislation to bring
a single payer system to New Mexico that will cover all New Mexicans.
While this has received broad based grassroots support, as
with all legislative issues, it has opponents - primarily the insurance
companies who have strong influence in Santa Fe.
